Date: November 2014
Location: Thornhill Ontario Early Years Centre
Age of the children: 2 to 5 years old

Description:

I sang the song during circle time. The program involved the children with their caregiver. Families sang along and copied the actions.  The children were able to develop their self-regulation, musical expression, and music appreciation.

Significance:

The children seemed to enjoy the song. It encouraged the children to be playful, and for the caregivers to give input on the actions and verses. The families were unfamiliar with the song, but the dramatic verses and actions was inviting for everyone to participate.
