Description:
Posing the problem of measuring the capacity of an irregularly shaped object, student used graduated cylinders to measure a variety of objects. In groups they determined the capacity by measuring the displacement in the cylinders.
​
Significance:
Students actively measured and determined the capacity of an object. They worked hands-on and in a group setting for the activity.
