Grade 5 Science: Energy Charades

Description:

In small groups, students picked a scenario from a hat. They had to create a charades using at least two different energy (e.g., electrical, chemical, mechanical, heat, light, kinetic). They presented the scenario to the class, and their classmates guessed the scenario and what energies were used.

Significance:

This activity integrated science and dramatic arts. After the students learned the different energies, students applied these energies to everyday context. They showed their creativity and worked together for their demonstration.
