The following website will focus on the  2nd Canadian Rangers Patrol Group (2CRPG), which reports to the 2nd Canadian Division. The group is responsible for Northern Quebec with its headquarters is in St. Jean. They are commanded by Lieutenant-Colonel Bruno Plourde. (Canadian Army, 2017)

These isolated areas consist of a few hundred to up to 4000 people. The number of Canadian Rangers and Junior Rangers vary from area to area, ranging from 25 to 100 Rangers (Canadian Army, 2016) .
